Starting or continuing your STOTT PILATES teacher training begins with our Pilates Certification Programs. All certification programs include the STOTT PILATES Principles; effective communication and observation skills, verbal cueing and imagery for performance enhancement and client motivation; modifications for specific body types, postural issues and conditions; theory and practice of postural analysis; and exercise layering related to effective program design.
Instructor Training
The Intensive Reformer (IR)
The Intensive Reformer (IR) course is designed for fitness professionals or those with time constraints preventing Comprehensive Program enrollment. Conducted over 3 weeks or 4 weekends, it equips participants to design and lead Level 1 Essential and Intermediate STOTT PILATES® Reformer exercises for diverse clients. IR provides a solid foundation for effective, motivating Reformer programs. While it can precede IMP, completing IMP first is recommended.


Instructor Training
The Intensive Mat (IMP)
The Intensive Mat (IMP) course is for fitness professionals or those with limited time for the Comprehensive Program. Conducted over 2 weeks or 3 weekends, it trains participants to design and lead Level 1 Essential and Intermediate STOTT PILATES® Matwork exercises for diverse clients. IMP provides a strong foundation and the skills needed to create effective and motivating Pilates Matwork programs for personal or group training.
Instructor Training
Advanced Reformer (AR)
Learn to use the various Reformer components and accessories to intensify Reformer repertoire and provide a stimulating workout for athletes, dancers, and highly conditioned clients. Held over three days, this 18-hour Advanced course teaches 70 exercises in the repertoire that require greater strength, stability and flexibility.
